Margaret Graydon
Daughter of Joseph and Jessie Graydon
Formerly of Mount Florida, Glasgow, Scotland
Joseph Graydon immigrated to America in 1909, along with two sons, Joseph Jr. and John
Jessie, daughter Margaret, and the youngest son James, followed in late 1914
The oldest son, Guy Graydon stayed behind and enlisted into the British Army
The elder Graydon was a Master of Ornamental Plastering, and brought his craftsmanship to America. Joseph settled in Jacksonville, Florida and established a business, with the help of his two sons, Joseph Jr. and John.
After 5 years, Joseph Sr. secured enough earnings to bring the rest of family to Jacksonville, and the family was reunited at last.
Joseph Graydon operated a business in Florida for 30 years, and to this day one can still see his work.
Once Margaret arrived, it didn't take her long to adopt American ways, she enjoyed the new life that any young lady would have at the time.
Sadly, Margaret was not completely happy, for their was one thing missing in her life, Arthur.
